About The Event

Celebrate 10 years of BIKETOWN by helping Portland attempt the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ title for the largest electric bicycle ride and party. Join hundreds of riders on the Waterfront as we try to break Seattle’s record of 405 e-bikes and make Portland history together. Riders of all experience levels are welcome, whether you’re riding a personal e-bike, a BIKETOWN bike, or a pedal bike.

Register below to reserve your spot in Portland's GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt! After registering for the ride, you'll also need to complete a quick GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ form. A link to the form will be included your confirmation email. Guinness World Records will then email you a QR code . That QR code is required for participation. 

Then, on event day, check in, grab your rider bib, and join the ride! This fun, community-focused ride is designed to bring as many riders together as possible for Portland's world record attempt. Expect a slow and celebratory group ride, and be sure to stay on the route so you can be included in the official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS™ attempt.


8:00 AMCheck-In Opens

Arrive early to receive your rider bib and get lined up for the official count. A Guinness World Records QR code is required, so be sure to complete the additional form linked in your confirmation email before you arrive.


9:30 AMWorld Record Ride Begins

The 2-mile ride begins at Naito Parkway & SW Salmon and travels along the Waterfront, Tilikum bridge and Eastbank Esplanade.

Find out live from an official Guinness World Records judge whether Portland officially broke the GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title.


Thanks to BIKETOWN's Title Sponsor, Nike, the first 1,000 participants will receive complimentary entry to the Portland Pride Festival. Be sure to keep your bib after the ride! It will be your entry to the festival so you can continue the celebration all day long.

  • I'll be bringing my own bike

  • I'll check out a BIKETOWN bike from a station outside the event area. (BIKETOWN bikes are free to use on July 19, while supplies last.)

  • I'll be riding my (non-electric) pedal bike. I won't be included in the world record total, but I want to be part of the fun!

  • A parent or legal guardian must sign and agree to the information in the release form below.
